What do you recommend to bring?
Here are some items you should consider bringing with you to Costa Rica.
Remember to pack lightly. The baggage restriction on all internal flights within the country is only 25 pounds per person.
- Insect repellent (Deet is only necessary if you plan to be in denser jungle areas)
- Waterproof “Teva” type sandals
- Plenty of sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher)
- A pair of lightweight long pants , a long-sleeved shirt, a hat, for sun and insect protection
- Camera, batteries and extra film (these are expensive in Costa Rica)
- Waterproof camera can come in handy if you plan to go rafting , snorkeling or diving
- Battery operated Travel clock * Lightweight sweater or jacket for stays in San Jose
- Sturdy shoes if you plan to hike in the mountains
- Binoculars for bird and monkey watching!
- An umbrella (June - December) ..or buy an inexpensive one here.
- A lightweight rain jacket (June-December)
- A small Spanish dictionary
- Plastic Zip-loc bags for wet clothing, bathing suits and shoes
- Small first aid Kit...bandaids,antiseptic cream, aspirin, etc.
- Voltage in Costa Rica is the same as North America. If you are coming form Europe or Asia you may need a voltage regulator and electrical adapter for you electronics.
- Cell Phones from overseas do not tend to work here. Leave them at home.
- Pack lightly and informally...

Phone service is available in all of our rooms. We have free Wi-fi on the property and in all the rooms.

Transfer from San Jose
AIR:
Sansa local airline -book online at www.flysansa.com.
20 minute flight from SJO – Quepos with a shuttle bus that will bring you to our door.
$ 74 per person and a $ 6 transfer fee if you opt for the shuttle bus.
DIRECT BUS:
Take a 3 1/2-hr. bus ride to Quepos for $10.
Buses leave downtown San Jose three times daily (check the bus schedule) and drop you off right at our door.
INTERBUS:
Private shuttle bus (twice daily pick-up across the highway from the international airport )
leaves at 9 and 2 PM -
Book online
PRIVATE DRIVER:
We can arrange for a private driver to meet you at the airport and bring you to our door in an airconditioned van.
The cost is $ 140 USD one way for up to 4 people and an additional $ 15 per person extra.
The drive is approx 3 hours.
Our driver will stop along the way for sightseeing or meals if you choose.
** If you opt for the bus station, be very wary of thieves and pickpockets**

Booking Requirements
Due to the small size of our property and the increasing number of returning guests, we are obligated to adopt the “prepayment” system, similar to travel agencies, to prevent double bookings or to avoid holding space for guests who confirm more nights than they plan to spend. We often have waiting lists in the high season so if you are sure of the number of nights you wish to spend with us, we recommend that you adhere to our deposit requirements to guarantee the accommodation.

Cancellation policy
50% of your payment is non-refundable. Balance of payment will be refunded if cancelled in writing no less than 14 days prior to arrival. There are no refunds for for Christmas, Easter week and select promotions.
Our deposit requirements are on the invoice that will be forwarded to you upon confirmation of your request.
